Takahiro Nishimura has played in Nippon Pro Baseball.
Nishimura was drafted by the Nippon Ham Fighters in the 2nd round of the 2017 NPB draft. [1] He notched 8 holds with a 3.52 ERA in 2018, and he had a 3.83 ERA in 35 appearances in 2019. Nishimura's ERA rose to 4.56 in 16 games in 2020, then he recorded a 3.48 ERA in 27 relief outings in 2021. He slumped to a 4.98 ERA in 18 games in 2022, and the Fighters traded him to the Chiba Lotte Marines for Koki Fukuda. Nishimura pitched well in 2023 as his ERA was 1.25 in 44 games with 14 holds, and he tied Takahiro Matsunaga's team record with a 21-game streak without allowing a run. However, Nishimura's ERA rose to 6.62 in 17 games in 2024, and he only pitched one game for the top team in 2025.
