Biographical Information

Taisei Chinen has played in Nippon Pro Baseball.

Chinen signed with the Oisix Niigata Albirex Baseball Club in 2024, and he hit .323/.362/.431 with 6 triples in his first season. He won the batting title of the Eastern League, and he led the league with 129 hits and 6 triples. Chinen then crushed 9 homers with a .286/.318/.408 batting line in 2025, and he led the league in RBI, He was drafted by the Yomiuri Giants in the 5th round of the development phase in the 2025 NPB draft; the scout was Takayuki Saito. Chinen made his NPB debut on July 7, 2026 against the Hanshin Tigers, and he got his first hit against Haruto Takahashi.
