Biographical Information

Taiki Kikuchi has pitched in Nippon Pro Baseball.

Kikuchi was drafted by the Yomiuri Giants in the 6th round of the development phase in the 2021 NPB draft; the scout was Hidetoshi Tsuburaya. He notched 11 saves with a 2.42 ERA in 39 games in the NPB Farm Leagues in 2022, and he also pitched 16 games with a 5.20 ERA for the big club. He was second in the Eastern League in saves, six behind Satoshi Miyamori; he was also 6th in K (66) and 5th in appearances (between Yusuke Azuma and Ryusei Ohe) Kikuchi then collected 11 holds with a 3.40 ERA in 50 relief outings with the top team in 2023, but he spent the entire 2024 season in the minors; his ERA was 1.00 in 36 games there. He tied for 5th in the EL with six wins and tied for 9th in appearances (40). He had a 1.80 ERA in 7 games in 2025, and the Nippon Ham Fighters picked him in the 2025 NPB Active draft.
