Biographical Information[edit]
Tadashi Hyodo played in Nippon Pro Baseball for 6 years.
Hyodo signed with the Mainichi Orions in 1953, but he only got 2 at-bats in his first season. He went 3-for-31 in 1954, and he jumped to the Tombo Unions. Hyodo hit .191/.258/.247 in 89 games for his new team in 1955, then he played 130 games with 7 triples and a .194/.261/.281 batting line in 1956. He was 10th in triples in the Pacific League, tied with Yoji Tamatsukuri and Kiyoshi Watanabe. When the Unions were expelled, Hyogo signed with the Kintetsu Buffaloes and he hit .152/.231/.218 in 81 games in 1957. However, Kazuaki Kato took his spot in 1958, so he only got 8 at-bats and he announced his retirement.
Overall, Hyodo hit .173/.241/.246 with 103 hits and 3 homers in 6 seasons in NPB.
