Biographical Information[edit]
3rd Baseman Skyler Messinger was drafted by the Chicago Cubs in the 22nd round of the 2017 amateur draft but continued on to college. He played four years at University of Kansas being named to the 2019 Big 12 Conference Tournament All-Tournament team. He hit .333/.474/.400 in the 2018 World University Championship. He then played one year at University of Texas being named to the 2022 Big 12 Conference Tournament All-Tournament team. He was drafted by the Colorado Rockies in the Colorado Rockies in the 19th round of the 2022 amateur draft and made his debut with the ACL Rockies that summer.
Messinger's brother Connor played college baseball at University of Nebraska at Omaha and University of Nebraska at Kearney. [1] [2] [3]
