Biographical Information

Shih-Hsiang Lin played in the CPBL. His uncle Chih-Hong Chen also played in CPBL.

Lin was selected by the TSG Hawks in the 6th round of the 2023 CPBL Draft, and he had a 4.31 ERA in 9 games in the minors in 2023. He debuted against the CTBC Brothers on May 22, 2024, and he got his first win on June 23 against the Uni-President Lions. Lin ended up 4.15 ERA in 30 games in his first season, and he also had a 4.15 ERA in 9 games in the minors. When Kazumasa Yoshida was turned into a starter in 2025, the Hawks named Lin their new closer. He was voted into the 2025 CPBL All-Star Game, and he pitched a shutout inning in Game 1. He notched 30 saves with a 1.79 ERA in 60 appearances in '25, and he led the league in saves and games. He won the CPBL Rookie of the Year, and he was the first player in CPBL history to win the ROY while leading the league in saves.

Lin's repertoire includes a fastball (peak 91.3 mph), changeup and slider.
