Biographical Information[edit]
Sekio Ishihara signed with the Toei Flyers in 1961, and he had a 1.80 ERA in 10 games in his first season. He allowed a run in 2/3 of an inning in the 1962 Nippon Series Game 3, and the Flyers beat the Hanshin Tigers in 7 games. Ishihara's ERA was 4.85 in 11 games in 1963, and he pitched 12 games with a 5.73 ERA in 1964. The Flyers traded him with Motohiro Ando and Katsutoyo Yoshida to the Yomiuri Giants for Yoshiyuki Ikezawa, Masayuki Yamazaki and Kazuhiko Sakazaki, but he didn't reach the top team in 1965 and he retired.
