Biographical Information[edit]

Scott Conner pitched in the minor leagues and for the USA national team.

Conner was drafted by the Baltimore Orioles in the 34th round of the 1991 Amateur Draft, and he was 1-4 with a 5.36 ERA for the GCL Orioles in his first season. He improved to 4-5 with a 1.93 ERA in 1992, and he had a 6-6 record with a 5.14 ERA for the Albany Polecats in 1993. Conner notched 8 saves with a 3.56 ERA in 53 relief outings in 1994 for the Frederick Keys, and he went 5-1 with a 4.17 ERA for the Bowie Baysox in 1995. He was 1-5 with a 5.05 ERA for the Baysox in 1996, and he also pitched 12 games with a 3.65 ERA for the Keys. However, he missed the entire 1997 season due to injuries, and he was released. Conner signed with the Bridgeport Bluefish, and he had a solid 10-5 record with a 3.94 ERA in 1998. He then went 14-5 with a 4.38 ERA in 1999. Connor also represented the USA in the 1999 Intercontinental Cup. He was 4-5 with a 4.15 ERA for the Winnipeg Goldeyes in 2000, but his ERA was 7.50 in 5 games in 2001 and he announced his retirement.
