Biographical Information

Ryuji Wakatake was drafted by the Hanshin Tigers in the third round of the 2005 NPB draft, but he only pitched 8 games for the top team before the Tigers traded him to the Nippon Ham Fighters for Ryota Imanari. He still didn't get many chances in his new team, and he had a 3.86 ERA in 2 games. Wakatake stayed in the minors for the entire 2013 season, and he announced his retirement. He later pitched for the Mitsubishi team of the Industrial League.
