Biographical Information

Ryo Yoshimoto was drafted by the Hiroshima Carp in the 4th round of the 1992 NPB draft, and he stayed in the minors in 1993. He went 7-for-23 in 1994, and he was 3-for-16 in 1995. The Carp then traded him to the Kintetsu Buffaloes for Satoshi Iriki, and he went 6-for-30 in 1996. He was traded back to the Carp for Iriki and Hideyuki Mifune, but he didn't reach the top team in 1997 and he was released. Yoshimoto signed with the Hanshin Tigers, but he only got 25 at-bats combined inthe next four seasons. He was 13-for-72 in 2002, and he announced his retirement in 2003.

Overall, Yoshimoto hit .193/.270/.289 with 32 hits in 8 seasons in NPB.
