Biographical Information[edit]

First baseman Ryan McBroom began his professional career in 2014. He was drafted by the Kansas City Royals in the 36th round of the 2013 amateur draft, but did not sign. He was then taken by the Toronto Blue Jays in the 15th round of the 2014 amateur draft and inked a contract.

He began his career with a .297/.339/.502 slash line with 11 home runs and 59 RBI for the Vancouver Canadians in 2014. In 2015, he hit .315/.387/.482 with 12 home runs, 39 doubles and 90 RBI in 127 games for the Lansing Lugnuts. He was the Midwest League's Most Valuable Player. Between the Dunedin Blue Jays and New Hampshire Fisher Cats in 2016, he hit .266/.318/.455 with 22 home runs, 85 RBI and 10 stolen bases.

He was a Mid-Season All-Star in 2014, 2015 and 2016, a MiLB.com Organization All-Star in 2015 and a Post-Season All-Star in 2015 and 2016.
