Biographical Information

Infielder Rosie Rose played in the minor leagues from 1948 to 1950, mostly in the Far West League. In 1948, he hit .283/.376/.341 in 111 games for the Pittsburg/Roseville Diamonds and in 1949, he split the year between Pittsburgh, the Santa Rosa Cats and the Salt Lake City Bees. He hit .214 in 121 games for Pittsburg in 1950 to wrap up his career. He was the second of three managers for Pittsburg in 1948, replacing Gus Suhr and being replaced by Bill Shewey.
