Biographical Information[edit]
Roger Coe played for the USA national baseball team and in the minor leagues.
Coe represented the USA in the 1973 FEMBA Amateur World Series. The San Diego Padres picked him in the 3rd round of the 1974 Amateur Draft, and he was 8-5 with a 4.20 ERA for the Walla Walla Padres in his first season. He went 2-0 with a 2.70 ERA for the Alexandria Aces in 1975, but he struggled with the Reno Silver Sox as his ERA was 5.40 with a 3-3 record in 10 games. Coe went 7-3 with a 3.72 ERA for the Amarillo Gold Sox in 1976, and he jumped to the Montreal Expos system. He slumped to 5-8 with a 5.44 ERA for the Quebec Metros in 1977, and he announced his retirement.
