Biographical Information[edit]

Rob Pegg was a NAIA All-American in college. He hit .244/.330/.268 and threw out 31% of attempted base-stealers as backup catcher for the 1997 Canton Crocodiles. He then was an assistant coach at his alma mater, Vanguard, for 7 years. In 2006, he became the first head coach at Colorado Christian University. Pegg moved to Vanguard University of Southern California as head coach in 2013 a position he held through the 2026 season. After 14 years leading Vanguard, Pegg would finish his time with the Lions as the winningest coach in program history with a 432-294-2 record.
