Biographical Information[edit]
Rich Medina won 13 games with a 1.81 ERA at Lewis-Clark in 1982. The Los Angeles Dodgers took him in the 17th round of the 1982 amateur draft but he did not sign. He won Bronze with Team USA in the 1982 Amateur World Series. Returning to Lewis-Clark, he won 13 more in 1983. The Baltimore Orioles chose him in the 16th round of the 1983 amateur draft. With the '83 Newark Orioles, he was 7-3 with a save and a 4.73 ERA. He tied Rich Sauveur and others for 6th in the New York-Penn League in wins. It was his lone season in pro ball.
