Biographical Information

Ren Sato was drafted by the Hanshin Tigers in the 3rd round of the 2020 NPB draft; the scout was Makoto Yoshino. He was 3-1 with a 5.71 ERA in the NPB Farm Leagues in 2021, and he struggled again as his ERA was 5.17 in 9 games in 2022. Sato then pitched 19 games with a 6.04 ERA in 2023, and he improved to a 2.03 ERA in 49 relief outings in 2024. He made his NPB debut on September 30, and he pitched a shutout inning with a strikeout against Kouki Kajiwara. However, Sato's ERA was 6.43 in 19 games in 2025 in the minors, and he didn't reach the top team then he announced his retirement.
