Biographical Information[edit]

Pitcher Reagan Todd began his college career at Arizona State University, throwing 77 1/3 innings across two seasons before transferring to Division II powerhouse Colorado Mesa University. He was selected in the 32nd round of the 2018 Amateur Draft by the Colorado Rockies.

He debuted in rookie ball in 2018, where his career started slowly. However, he took a significant leap forward in 2019 earning a selection to the Northwest League All-Star Game before being promoted to Class A Asheville Tourists. Across both levels, he posted a 1.87 ERA, 1.069 WHIP, 12.6 K/9, and 2.1 BB/9.

Following the 2020 COVID year, when he was forced to sit idle as the minor leagues were shut down, he was promoted to the AA Hartford Yard Goats where he delivered a 4.36 ERA, 6 saves, 12.3 K/9, and 3.1 BB/9 before a late-season promotion to AAA. Following 2021, he pitched in the Arizona Fall League where he had a 1.74 ERA en route to being named to play in the AFL Rising Stars Game.

Todd returned to the AAA Albuquerque Isotopes in 2022. While pitching at altitude in the hitter-friendly Pacific Coast League, he delivered 5.24 ERA — well below the team ERA of 6.89 — while striking out 11.8 batters per 9 innings. Among the most-used relievers in the Isotopes bullpen, Todd was making his 49th appearance of the season in August when he tore his UCL, requiring Tommy John surgery.

After rehabbing through 2023, he returned to action in 2024 throwing 12 innings and earning a 5.25 ERA, 12.0 K/9, and 3.8 BB/9 across three levels. He was released on July 14th and retired following the season.

Throughout his career, Todd's arsenal featured a mid-90s fastball, an outstanding changeup, and a mid-80s slider.
