Philippines

The Philippines is a country in southeast Asia located on the Philippine Archipelago, which consists of over 7,000 islands. Several major leaguers saw military action here during the Spanish-American War or World War II. A couple of Japanese baseball stars died here during World War II as well. The Philippines won the 1954 Asian Championship and have maintained a minor baseball presence for decades.
