Biographical Information[edit]
Phil Keller played for the USA national baseball team and in the minor leagues.
Keller represented the USA in the 1969 Amateur World Series. The Los Angeles Dodgers picked him in the 20th round of the 1970 Amateur Draft, and he had a 4.50 ERA in 3 appearances for the Medford Dodgers in 1970. He was 7-14 with a 4.34 ERA for the Bakersfield Dodgers in 1971, and he led the California League in losses. Keller then pitched 17 games with a 3.83 ERA in Bakersfield in 1972, and he slumped to 1-3 with a 5.11 ERA in 34 relief outings for the Waterbury Dodgers in 1973. He went 5-2 with a 4.66 ERA in Bakersfield in 1974, but his ERA was 5.91 in 17 games for the AAA Albuquerque Dukes and his professional career ended.
