Pastora de Occidente

From BR Bullpen

Pastora de Occidente joined the Venezuelan League in 1953-1954 and won the pennant behind manager Buster Mills. They finished fourth in the 1954 Caribbean Series on a club featuring Howie Fox, Ramon Monzant, Thornton Kipper, Johnny Temple and Luis "Camaleón" García. The team then folded. A club by the same name appeared decades later when the Petroleros de Cabimas changed their name in 1995 to Pastora de Occiente. After six seasons without a title, they were renamed the Pastora de los Llanos.
