Biographical Information[edit]
Nelson Orman was on the Netherlands Antilles national team in the 1982 Central American and Caribbean Games. He turned pro, signing with the Baltimore Orioles, and hitting .288/.351/.439 with 15 runs in 17 games for the 1983 Bluefield Orioles, fielding .918 at 2B. Though he easily outhit teammate Billy Ripken, a future big leaguer, it would be his lone season in the minors. He later coached HCAW to the 2003 Holland Series, where they fell to Neptunus.
