Natsuki Kubo has been on the Japanese women's national team.
Kubo was 1 for 7 for Reia in the Japanese Women's Baseball League in 2018; moving to the mound, she was 1-2 with a 4.60 ERA for Aichi Dione in 2019. [1] She then went to college, having begun her pro career after high school. She was with Japan for the final phase of the 2023-2024 Women's Baseball World Cup. She debuted against Taiwan, relieving Wakana Mori in the 6th with a 7-4 lead. She struck out Chi-Fen Chen, allowed a hit to Chia-Yu Lin, whiffed Yen-Tzu Hung, gave up a Yu-Ying Hsieh single but struck out Shih-Yun Lee to escape the inning. Mika Tai relieved. Against Mexico, she allowed one hit (to Gabriela Sandoval) and one walk (to Dani Leal) in four shutout innings, striking out three, to beat Veronica Romo; Yuna Tsuchiya saved her victory. In the title game versus the USA, she relieved Miyu Shimizu in the 5th with a 11-4 lead, two out and one on. She retired Jillian Albayati then Akino Tanaka closed out their victory. For the final round, she tied for the most appearances (with Maricela Aguillera, Sophy Gagné, Meggie Meidlinger and Tsuchiya), tied for 5th in K (6, even with Tanaka, Shimizu, Mori and Kelsie Whitmore) and tied Frandelis García for the best ERA.
