Biographical Information[edit]
Verónica Romo has played for the Mexican women's national team.
She pitched in Mexico's first game ever, relieving Rosa del Castillo in a 2019 game against Nicaragua (also making its debut), closing out a combined no-hitter. [1] She was with them for the final portion of the 2023-2024 Women's Baseball World Cup, getting the difficult call of starting against champion Japan. She allowed eight hits, a walk and six runs (all earned) in 2 1/3 IP in a loss to Natsuki Kubo; Maricela Aguillera took over for her. [2]
