Biographical Information[edit]

Minoru Ohmori has played in Nippon Pro Baseball.

Ohmori was drafted by the Hiroshima Carp in the first round of the development phase in the 2018 NPB draft; the scout was Tomofumi Matsumoto. He stayed in the NPB Farm Leagues in his first season, and he hit .259/.318/.385 in 73 games in 2020. Ohmori then went 10-for-37 in 2021, and his batting line fell to .203/.276/.333 in 2022. He struggled again as his batting line was .152/.200/.227 in 2023, and he was 7-for-35 in 74 games in 2024, primarily as a defensive replacement. Ohmori broke out in 2025, and he became Hiroshima's starting center fielder during the season, replacing Shosei Nakamura after doing well in interleague play; he played 102 games with a .265/.304/.370 batting line.
