Biographical Information

Mikizo Manabe signed with the Hanshin Tigers in 1968, and he only got one at-bat in his first three seasons. The Kintetsu Buffaloes then picked him in the active draft, and he mainly stayed in the minors in 1971. Manabe was 9-for-45 in 37 games in 1972, but he only played 12 more games for the big club before he announced his retirement in 1974.
