Biographical Information[edit]

Mike Maerten was 3-1 with two saves and a 3.36 ERA at St. John's in 1993, finishing 5th in the Big East Conference in ERA [1]. He had a 4-3, 2.20 for them in 1995, trailing only Jason Grilli in the Big East in ERA (by .35) and tied for 25th in NCAA Division I [2]. St. John's served as Team USA in the 1995 Pan American Games [3] He was 2-3 with a 4.43 ERA for the Yonkers Hoot Owls that summer.
