Biographical Information

Michael Senay has been on the Czech national team.

He was 1-0 with a 0.78 ERA and 11 K in 9 IP in the 2023 U-18 Baseball World Cup, beating Australia's Dan Mills. Making it to the Czech senior team by the 2025 European Championship, the teenager debuted in their opener, relieving Tomáš Ondra in the 3rd with a 2-0 deficit. He struck out Alex Schmidt and Yannic Walther in a scoreless frame, walking Elias Huber, and also worked a shutout 4th (K'ing Eric Brenk). After retiring the first two in the 5th, though, he hit Huber, walked Walther and surrendered a 3-run homer to Lucas Dunn. Ryan Johnson succeeded him. His other outing went rougher as he gave up 3 hits, a walk and 3 runs (all earned) in 1 1/3 IP versus Italy, pitching after Johnson and before Tomáš Duffek. He had one K that game, of Jhorjan Guevara. He wound up with the highest ERA (13.50) on the Czech squad; Jan Tomek was next at 10.13). The Czechs won the Bronze, their first medal in a European Championship.
