Elias Huber has played in the Bundesliga and for the German national team.
Debuting in the Bundesliga-1 in 2025 at age 19, he had a superb debut at .434/.540/.808 with 34 runs and 36 RBI in 30 games for the Gauting Indians; he had 3 saves and a 6.94 ERA, fielding .909, mostly at second base. He led the northern Bundesliga-1 in average by .015 ahead of Simon Bäumer, was 4th in home runs (8), ranked 5th in RBI (between Tobias Maul and Terrell Joyce), tied Alex Schmidt for 4th in hits (43), tied for second in doubles (11, 5 behind Billy Germaine), tied Bäumer for second in extra-base hits (20, 11 behind Germaine), tied Gary Owens for 6th in RBI, was second in slugging (.034 behind Germaine), was 3rd in OBP (after Shawn Larry and Bäumer) and led in OPS (15 ahead of Germaine). [1] The rookie finished 4th in MVP voting behind Germaine, Logan Hofmann and Bäumer. [2]
In the 2025 U23 European Championship, he hit .333/.474/.800 with 5 runs and 5 RBI in 5 games for Germany, fielding 18 chances error-free but allowing two runs while retiring no one. He hit a grand slam off France's Nathan Laot and a solo shot off Israel's Ivri Margolin. He was 6th in slugging, was second with two homers (one behind Raphael Smeenk) and tied for the most assists (14). [3] Making Germany's senior team for the 2025 European Championship, he started at second. He flew out against the Czech Republic's Tomáš Ondra his first time up. His first hit was off former Orioles and Diamondbacks farmhand José Gómez. He came up big against Israel; with a 9-9 tie in the 9th, he drew a walk from Margolin and scored the winning run. He batted .263/.440/.263 with 5 walks and 4 runs in 5 games, handling 10 chances without a miscue. He paced Germany in walks. [4]
