Biographical Information

Max Durrington has played in the minors. He is the son of Trent Durrington.

He hit .224/.280/.299 in his pro debut for the Brisbane Bandits in the 2024-2025 Australian Baseball League. Signed by The Athletics, he split the summer between the ACL Athletics (.256/.359/.312 in 40 G) and Stockton Ports (.225/.308/.283 in 49 G), stealing 12 bases in 14 tries overall and fielding .952 at 2B. In the outfield for Brisbane in the 2025-2026 ABL, he batted .214/.311/.382 with 7 steals in 9 attempts. He tied for second in swipes, two behind Devin Saltiban.

When Durrington was picked for the Australian national team in the 2026 World Baseball Classic, he was their youngest player while he became the first part of the father-son duo to be picked for an Australian World Baseball Classic contingent, his father having appeared in the 2006 World Baseball Classic.
