Biographical Information

Masao Furukawa signed with the Osaka Tigers in 1936, but he didn't reach the big club and he left the team. The Eagles club signed him, and Furukawa was 1-3 with a 5.15 ERA on the mound and went 5-for-33 at the plate in the 1937 spring season. He only played 2 games in the fall season, and he was 3-5 with a 4.08 ERA in the 1938 spring season. Furukawa then had a 2.43 ERA in 7 appearances in the fall season, and was 1-5 with a 7.50 ERA in 1939. He left the team after the 1939 season.
