Biographical Information

SS Mark Harris played in the New York Yankees chain from 1978 to 1980, playing one year at AA. He is the son of Gail Harris.

After retiring, Harris ran the Harris Baseball Academy in Virginia and was a part-time scout for the Texas Rangers and Philadelphia Phillies.

Harris was a roving coach for the Kansas City Royals in 2007 and the Royals' Minor League Infield Coordinator in 2008-2010. He was then a hitting coach for the Potomac Nationals in 2011, Hagerstown Suns in 2012 and Potomac again in 2013. Harris moved up to the Harrisburg Senators for 2014-2015, then moved to the Auburn Doubledays in 2016-2019 and FCL Nationals in 2021. Harris was development coach of the Wilmington Blue Rocks in 2022-2025.
