Biographical Information[edit]
Marc Willi has played for the Swiss national team.
He played baseball and football in high school then redshirted as a freshman at Michigan. [1] Transferring to UMass, he hit .240/.360/.413 in 2024 and .244/.358/.385 in 2025. He then joined Switzerland for the 2025 European Championship. Playing for the Wil Devils in the 2025 Federations Cup, he hit .455/.538/1.273 with 2 homers and 7 RBI in 4 games, finishing 7th in average, 4th in slugging, 9th in OBP, tied for 4th in RBI and tied for second in dingers. In the 2025 European Championship, he started at first base for Switzerland. He struck out against Italy's Gabriele Quattrini his first time up. His first hit was off Daniel Gosselin of Greece during a 3-hit day. In the 11th/12th place game, he was 5-for-5 with a double, 3 runs and RBI against France as Switzerland got their best finish yet in a European Championship. He hit .500/.542/.636 with 6 runs, 3 doubles, 2 RBI and 4 steals (in 4 tries) in 6 games, handling 36 chances error-free. He made the event leaderboards in average (tied for 7th with Edvardas Matusevičius, Alberto Mineo and Xander Verspreet), hits (tied for 7th with Jhorjan Guevara and Noel González), doubles (tied for 4th) and steals (tied Hayden Jung-Goldberg for first).
