Biographical Information[edit]

Outfielder LeVon Washington was selected by the Tampa Bay Rays in the first round of the 2009 amateur draft with the 30th overall pick but did not sign. Unable to qualify academically for the University of Florida, he ended up at Chipola College. The following June, Washington was chosen by the Cleveland Indians in the second round of the 2010 amateur draft. He was signed by scout Chuck Bartlett for $1.2 million and made his pro debut with the AZL Indians. He spent 2011 with the Lake County Captains. He last played professionally in 2019, peaking at High-A.
