Biographical Information[edit]

While playing for the University of Connecticut, OF Kyler Fedko was named the Most Outstanding Player of the 2021 Big East Conference Tournament. He was drafted by the Minnesota Twins in the 12th round of the 2021 amateur draft a couple of weeks later.

Fedko started off his pro career with the Fort Myers Mighty Mussels in 2021, batting .235 in 23 games. He was in Class A the next two seasons, then spent all of 2024 with the Wichita Wind Surge of the AA Texas League, where he hit .227 in 77 games. His career did not seem to be taking off at that point, but he had a breakout season in 2025 when he made it to AAA for the first time with the St. Paul Saints and hit a combined .258/.367/.487 in 130 games, with 25 doubles, 28 homers and 82 RBIs. He was named a Texas League post-season All-Star.

In 2026, he started the year with St. Paul where he hit .286 with 15 homers and 45 RBIs in his first 58 games. He was called up to Minnesota on June 15th and made his debut that day, starting in left field against the Texas Rangers. He was 0 for 4 in a 4-2 win.

His brother Christian Fedko also went to UConn and then played in the Independent Leagues as an infielder, while his father John Fedko has been a TV and radio broadcaster in his hometown of Pittsburgh, PA.
