Biographical Information[edit]

Kouta Inoue has played in Nippon Pro Baseball.

Inoue was drafted by the Hanshin Tigers in the 2nd round of the 2019 NPB draft; the scout was Ryo Watanabe. He was 1-for-11 with the big club in his first season, and he only got 5 at-bats combined in the next two seasons. Onodera hit .222/.274/.354 with 11 homers in the minors in 2022, and he led the Western League with 96 hits. He was 8-for-35 in 2023, and he went 11-for-52 in 2024. Inoue recorded a .308/.386/.438 batting line in 83 games in the minors that season, and he won the batting title (.011 ahead of Shoma Masuda). He was second in OBP (.006 behind Jo Endoh) and led in slugging (.031 ahead of Tomoya Inoue). He only played one game for the top team in 2025, and the Chiba Lotte Marines picked him in the 2025 NPB Active draft.
