Biographical Information

Kokoro Sano was drafted by the Chunichi Dragons in the 6th round of the 1991 NPB draft; he and his father Makio Sano were the first father-son pair to be drafted in NPB history. Sano was 1-for-10 in 1992, and he only got one more at-bat before announced his retirement in 1995. He was named the coach of Hamamatsu Kaiseikan High School in 2017.
