Biographical Information[edit]

The son of Chris Cron, first baseman Kevin Cron was picked in the third round of the 2011 amateur draft by the Seattle Mariners. At Mountain Pointe High School, he set school records for homers in a season (27) and career (53). Despite that, he wasn't the first member of his family picked in the 2011 draft: brother C.J. Cron was a first-rounder out of college. Kevin was Seattle's third pick, following All-Americans Danny Hultzen and Brad Miller. He opted to attend Texas Christian University instead of signing.

Cron was drafted again, this time by the Arizona Diamondbacks in the 14th round of the 2014 amateur draft. After signing, he made his pro debut with the Missoula Osprey
