Biographical Information

Kenshin Makino has played in Nippon Pro Baseball.

Makino played for the Shinano Grandserows from 2022 to 2023, and he signed with the Oisix Niigata Albirex Baseball Club in 2024. He went 4-3 with a 2.90 ERA in the NPB Farm Leagues in 2025, and he was 2nd in ERA (.30 behind Syuto Noto) and 2nd in strikeouts (15 behind Noto) in the Eastern League. Makino was drafted by the Chunichi Dragons in the first round of the development phase in the 2025 NPB draft; the scout was Tomoya Yagi. He made his NPB debut on March 28, 2026 against the Hiroshima Carp, and he got his first strikeout against Haruto Tanaka on April 4.
