Biographical Information

Shortstop Haruto Tanaka has played in Nippon Pro Baseball. His father Takashi Tanaka also played in NPB.

Tanaka was drafted by the Yakult Swallows in the 4th round of the 2024 NPB draft; the scout was Taiji Maruyama. He hit .254/.332/.373 in 75 games in the NPB Farm Leagues in 2025, and he was 2-for-13 for the top team.
