Biographical Information[edit]

Kenny Fermin-Giere has played in the Bundesliga and for the German national team.

He debuted in 2024, hitting .290/.344/.393 with 20 runs in 25 games for the Mainz Athletics at age 17. He was third in the Bundesliga-1 South in both assists (79) and errors (9). [1] He started at short for Germany when they finished second in the 2024 U18 European Championship, hitting .368/.556/.526 with 7 runs and 8 RBI in 7 games, handling 24 chances error-free. He tied for 6th in RBI, tied for the walk lead (8) and was one assist shy of the leaders' 16. [2]

Fermin-Giere was 0 for 1 in the 2025 U23 European Championship. He was 0-1 with a 6.00 ERA, losing to France's Mathis Nayral. [3] That summer, he was 0 for 9 for Mainz and went 0-3 with a 4.50 ERA. [4] He was Germany's youngest player in the 2025 European Championship, born 9 months after the next-youngest, Darrion Richards. He did not get into a game. [5]
