Biographical Information[edit]
Ken Shinzato was drafted by the Kintetsu Buffaloes in the 5th round of the 2003 NPB draft, and he only played one game for the big club in 2004. He was then assigned to the Rakuten Golden Eagles after the Buffaloes merged with the Orix BlueWave, but he only got 2 at-bats before Rakuten traded him to the Chiba Lotte Marines for Takashi Kawai. Shizato stayed in the minors in the next two seasons, and he was 1-for-6 in 208. He had a 1-for-4 record in 2009, and he announced his retirement.
