Biographical Information[edit]

Keisuke Mizuta was drafted by the Seibu Lions in the 7th round of the 2000 NPB draft, but he only got 67 at-bats combined in 9 years before he was traded to the Hanshin Tigers for Taiyo Fujita in 2009; he collected 7 hits. He collected his first homer against Micheal Nakamura on August 6, 2006, and he was the 4th player in NPB history whose first home run was an inside-the-park home run, following Shiro Takegami, Koichi Ogata and Tomochika Tsuboi. Mizuta was soon traded to the Chunichi Dragons for Ryota Arai after spending a year in the minors, and he was 2-for-15 in 2011. He was then released, and the Yakult Swallows signed him. However, Mizuta only played 7 games for the Swallows combined, and he announced his retirement in 2013.
