Biographical Information

Keigo Kitamura has played in Nippon Pro Baseball.

Kitamura was drafted by the Yakult Swallows in the 5th round of the 2022 NPB draft; the scout was Kenichi Oshio. He made his NPB debut on May 6 against the Yokohama BayStars. He got his first hit on August 9 against Shohei Mori, and he was the 3rd rookie in NPB history whose first career hit was a grand slam (following Hall-of-Fame pitcher Shigeru Sugishita and Makoto Tsuchida). Kitamura was 4-for-21 in his first season, and he stayed in the minors in 2024. He returned in 2025, and he played 46 games with a .267/.364/.475 batting line.
