Biographical Information

Submariner Kaito Yoza has pitched in Nippon Pro Baseball.

Yoza was drafted by the Seibu Lions in the fifth round of the 2017 NPB draft; the scout was Toshiya Adachi. He underwent Tommy John surgery, so he stayed in the NPB Farm Leagues in his first two seasons. Yoza was 2-4 with a 5.45 ERA in 2020, and he recorded a 2.79 ERA in 15 appearances in 2021. He broke out in 2022, and he went 10-7 with a 2.88 ERA. Yoza tied Dietrich Enns, Nao Higashihama, Hiromi Itoh, Manabu Mima and Takahiro Norimoto for 5th in wins in the Pacific League. He was 2-6 with a 3.69 ERA in 2023, but he only pitched 7 games with a 4.81 ERA in 2024.
