Biographical Information

The son of Bill Laxton and brother of Brett Laxton, Josh Laxton spent two years in the minors.

Laxton was picked by the Florida Marlins in the 31st round of the 1996 amateur draft, several rounds after his brother Brett. He later played for the Camden Riversharks, allowing two runs in two innings in 2004. In 2005, he was 0-1 with a 6.39 ERA in 14 games; he allowed 32 hits and 19 walks in 25 1/3 IP.
