Biographical Information[edit]
Jim Redmon played in the minor leagues and in Nippon Pro Baseball.
Redmon was drafted by the Chicago White Sox in the 12th round of the 1968 Amateur Draft, and he hit .260/.328/.354 in 60 games for the Appleton Foxes in his first season. He played 111 games with a .283/.345/.408 batting line in 1969, and he was 10-for-40 with the Foxes in 1970. Redmon also recorded a .192/.233/.266 batting line in 52 games for the Mobile White Sox , and he played 43 games with a .321/.379/.423 with the Raleigh-Durham Triangles in 1971. He reached AAA in '71, and he hit .276/.324/.396 for the Tucson Toros. Redmon recorded a .278/.321/.346 batting line for the Toros in 1972, and he signed with the Nittaku Home Flyers in 1973. He crushed 5 homers with a .243/.259/.339 batting line for the Flyers, and he returned to the White Sox organization in 1974. Redmon hit .192/.232/.192 for the Iowa Oaks, and he announced his retirement.
Overall, Redmon hit .267/.319/.363 with 411 hits in 7 seasons in the minor leagues.
