Biographical Information[edit]
Jim Eschen played in the minor leagues from 1971-1980.
Eschen was then baseball coach for 9 years (1980-1988) and girl's basketball coach for two years at Samuel W. Wolfson High School. [1] Returning to the pro ranks, he managed for two years on the farm, then was hitting coach of the Williamsport Bills in 1991. After his pro stint, he taught at Mandarin High School, then returned to Wolfson High School as swimming coach and assistant basketball coach. [2]
Eschen's father, Will Eschen, was head coach at State University of New York at Potsdam and spent many years coaching high school baseball.
