Biographical Information

Jim Doole signed with the Takahashi Unions in 1954, and he was 3-3 with a 2.45 ERA while on his summer vacation from teaching in Hawaii. He later coached Punahou School. He was the first player from Harvard University in NPB, and there would be more than 50 years before another Harvard alumni (Frank Herrmann) played in Japan.
