Biographical Information

Jesus Azuaje Jr. is the son of Jesus Azuaje.

The Philadelphia Phillies drafted Azuaje in the 25th round of the 2017 Amateur Draft from Glendale Community College. Azuaje played in their minor league system from 2017-2018 before joining the Colorado Rockies organization in 2019. Azuaje played primarily in the lower levels of the minors during this three year stint, though he did appear in 12 games for the AAA Albuquerque Isotopes in 2019. After not playing in 2020 due to COVID-19, Azuaje finished his playing career with the newly independent Billings Mustangs in 2021.

Continuing to follow in his father's footsteps, Azuaje became a coach for the State College Spikes in 2023. It is unknown where he worked in 2024. The Toronto Blue Jays hired Azuaje as a hitting coach for the DSL Blue Jays Red in 2025 and FCL Blue Jays in 2026.
