Biographical Information[edit]

Jamie McAndrew was drafted by the Los Angeles Dodgers in the 3rd round of the 1989 amateur draft. He was signed by scout Bill Pleis and made his pro debut that summer. He had a first couple professional seasons for the ages, going 11-0 with a 1.65 ERA in 13 games for the Great Falls Dodgers in 1989 and 17-6 with a 2.12 mark in 26 starts between the Bakersfield Dodgers and San Antonio Missions in 1990.

McAndrew's father, Jim McAndrew, played in the major leagues from 1968 to 1974.
